Board approves summer camp ARPA funding despite member abstentions

NY WHEATLAND — Wheatland board approves $17,300 in ARPA funds for summer camp expansion. Supervisor Jim Kirch led the board's approval to reduce the 2026 summer camp cost per participant to $330 for the six-week program, though Councilman Tim Davis and Councilwoman Tina Stevens abstained. The board also unanimously hired Jennifer Poquette as Court Clerk at $20.10 per hour for 20-25 hours weekly, approved purchase of a Toshiba printer for $6,647.65 and ant control services for $525, extended the state road maintenance contract through 2029, and appointed Chris Callery to the Board of Assessment Review.
