Board designates Wheatland age-friendly community, approves service contracts

NY WHEATLAND — Wheatland Town Board approves age-friendly community designation and advances planning work. Supervisor Jim Kirch and four council members unanimously adopted 13 resolutions, including formal commitment to the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities with the Planning Board directed to complete a comprehensive action plan within 12 months. The board also approved a $40,294 emergency medical services agreement with CHS, accepted departmental audits with no findings, and authorized $4,000 for environmental review services on the town's recently updated comprehensive master plan.
