Town Board adopts comprehensive master plan after SEQR approval

NY WHEATLAND — Wheatland Town Board adopts its 2025 comprehensive master plan and approves $260,000 in reserve transfers. The five-member board voted unanimously on both measures, allocating the reserve transfer to $92,000 for building repairs, $146,000 for highway equipment, and $22,000 for retirement funding. The board also hired Austin Perry as Highway Laborer-Step 1 at $20.69 per hour, promoted Dylan Coyle to Laborer-Step 3 at $22.27 per hour, and created a full-time Court Clerk position at $20.10 per hour, while authorizing $16,800.71 in GP Flooring contracts for Municipal Building improvements.
The board scheduled public hearings for May 14 at 6 p.m. on the Freeman Park project and a proposed solar moratorium extension.
