Wheatland Town Board approves seven recreation assistants

NY WHEATLAND — Wheatland Town Board expands recreation department with seven new assistants and staff step increases. The Town Board unanimously approved hiring seven Recreation Assistants at $18.26 per hour and granted step increases to 11 recreation assistants and four recreation leaders, effective June 12, 2026. The board also approved $3,469 for three court personnel to attend a September conference and accepted a $760 donation to the Senior Center from the Scottsville Lions Club.
